Editing your course

In order to edit a Moodle site you need to have a full Lecturer role with editing permissions. If you do not have permission to edit a course and think that you should have, contact ceddtechhelp@auckland.ac.nz

To edit your course:

Turn editing on from the Settings menu/Course Administration when you're on a page within a course,

or

from the button on the top left of the screen on your course homepage.

Moodle 2 editing tools (icons)


The icons above represent the editing tools available to you when you select “Turn editing on” (hold your mouse over each icon to see what it does):

  1.  Edit title (name of a web page or resource)
  2. Move right (indent)
  3. Move position on page (up or down)
  4. Edit content within a page, activity or resource
  5. Duplicate a page, activity or resource
  6. Delete a page, activity or resource
  7. Hide a page, activity or resource
  8. Assign roles to a page, activity or resource
