Where to submit assignments

There are a number of ways you can submit your assignment. However, some courses may have specific submission requirements, and this will be announced by your lecturer. The following submission options may be available to you:

  1. By Moodle Online Drop Box
If your lecturer has instructed you to submit your assignment online, upload your assignment to the appropriate Assignment ‘Drop Box’ in Moodle. Please ensure your assignment is uploaded as a word.doc and not as a PDF to enable your lecturer to mark your assignment online. For uploading instructions, view the help notes provided on the course site, or in the Moodle Hub under Your Assignments. Please note that you are not required to upload a coversheet - however you will be required to acknowledge a student declaration.
  2. By Moodle Online Assessment
In some Moodle courses the assignment may be a wiki, online journal, blog, etc., that cannot be uploaded as a discrete file. In this instance please follow the specific instructions outlined by your lecturer on how to complete and submit an Online Assessment task correctly.

If you are submitting an assignment through options 3, 4 or 5 (below) you must include an assignment coversheet.  You can download a coversheet via this link: - coversheets downloaded from this site will require entry of a password (your 7 digit student ID number) to open. Work submitted via these options without the appropriate assignment coversheet may not be marked. These assignment coversheets must not be amended as they are unique to each assignment.

  1. In person - submit your assignment through the assignment box at the campus where you attend this course (unless otherwise advised):

  1. By email:
Send the file as an attachment to
  • If you submit your assignment via email and do not receive a confirmation of receipt please contact the Assignment Centre as soon as possible at:

All assignments need to be named clearly in a way that makes it easily identified with student name, course code and assignment number (i.e., johnbrown_educ12_assign2.doc). Additionally, please identify each page of your assignment, including any supporting documentation, by adding your student name, student ID and course code in the header or footer.

If submitting your assignment via email you must attach the coversheet sent to you via email, or if no emailed coversheet has been sent you will find a generic coversheet in the Moodle Hub. This generic email coversheet does need editing with your details.
